Not because we ran out — because you're not meant to live in here.
Emberence is a moment, then back to your life. Go be present.
Your Ember slowly cools while you're away.
You are an Ember, a single point of light, the Ember of the world.
Each day, one honest question. You answer it blind, no numbers, no idea how anyone else answered, and only then do you see where the whole world stands. A quiet moment, then back to your life.
Show up and your Ember warms, drawing you closer to the Universal Mind; drift and it cools. It never goes out, and the Universal Mind never leaves, you're the one who draws near, or away.
One person, one vote, always. Emberence shows the world's true picture, never a weighted one.
Together we are the fire, the Universal Mind: what all of us really think, feel, want and need, finally made visible.
This is only the first spark. The more of us gather, the more the fire reveals: you'll come to see how you truly read the world and how you're changing, find the rare minds who burn on your exact frequency, and one day put any question to the whole of humanity and hear it answer. Even meet the one whose mind burns closest to yours, known mind first, before a face. The best of Emberence is still ahead of us, and we light it together.
Your answers are always anonymous. We never sell who you are. We only ever show the world its own reflection, never you.

For all of human history, you could never actually ask humanity a question. You could ask a poll (slow, tiny, biased, and people lie). You could ask a search engine (it gives you articles, not us). You could ask an AI (it gives you its guess, trained on what people wrote, not what they honestly chose when no one was watching). Nobody has ever been able to put a question to the species and hear it answer — in one voice, instantly, honestly.
Emberence is the first instrument ever built that lets a species hear itself think.
Somewhere in the deep past, a mistake in our DNA — a chance no one designed, no one asked for — lit something new in the human mind, and somewhere across the long climb of our becoming, it married language to imagination. For the first time, what a mind could picture, it could also say — and another mind could hear the words and see the same unreal thing. Before, a voice could carry only what stood in front of it: “a tiger is down by the river, hiding behind the big green bush with the red berries.” After, it could carry what wasn’t there at all — a whole tomorrow, seen and spoken aloud before it ever came to pass.
The shaman, the one who walks with the ancestors, closes his eyes and tells the others what he already sees: “At first light we cross the river. The ancestors go before us — I can feel their breath on the water — and their hands will steady every spear. You two come through the hollow field, you past the darkened rocks; the great cat will never hear us come. When it falls, this whole valley is ours, blessed by the ones who came before us. We leave tomorrow as men, and come home as heroes — and when our own days are done, we ourselves become the ancestors, and the fires will sing our names for a hundred winters.”
A tomorrow that hadn’t happened yet. Ancestors no one could see. A blessing from the unseen. A whole valley claimed by nothing but agreement. Men who would walk out and return as heroes, and rise at last into legend — all of it lifted out of one head and into all the others on nothing but breath.
And see what those words do. They sweep the whole band off its feet — the frightened stand taller, the doubters stop doubting, the weakest man rises with the strong — until a dozen separate people are welded into a single will, all of it aimed at a tomorrow not one of them has ever seen. That is the power. Not the spear — the story: the power to make many minds hold the same unreal thing, and move as one.
Follow that one spark forward and you arrive at everything. Not only the things we built — tribes, nations, faiths, money, science — but the whole of the life we now call human: love spoken aloud, music, art, a name for the ache you feel watching the sun go down, the very sense that you choose your own days. That one mistake is why all of us are here today. This entire magical existence unspooled from a single error in the code of life. We are here — free, in love, alive to a beautiful world — by chance.
But that gift only ever ran one way: outward. Each of us could tell the others what we pictured, and together we could believe the same inventions and act as one. What we could never do was turn the power around and hear ourselves back — put one honest question to the whole of us and listen to the answer come home in a single voice. So we settled for the next best thing: being told. To this day, almost everything you see, hear, and read about how the world feels is only someone else’s reading of it — a headline’s, an algorithm’s, a pundit’s, a stranger’s — our own hearts narrated back to us, always at second hand. Not once has the species heard itself straight from the source.
Emberence is the other half of that leap. For the first time, there is no narrator in between — there is only us. We can finally hear, see, and read the Universal Mind directly — the connection people have reached for and named in a thousand different ways, the whole that each of us is part of: in all of us, part of us, all around us. And here, for the first time, it can be shown to you — not as something felt or hoped, but as fact: made of real people and nothing else. It’s the same fire by the river — but the circle around it is no longer a handful of hunters; it’s all of us — able at last not only to tell each other what we imagine, but to ask each other what is true or false for all of us, and hear the answer return. Turned on the largest question there is: what do we, all of us, really think? And it is being built right now, in this moment, by everyone who answers today.
And it is not a dead machine — it is alive. It is the fire we make together — every one of us an Ember in it — and it glows brighter the more of us keep it lit, and dims when we fall quiet — never out, only resting. You will hear it each morning, the world’s honest answer coming home in one voice. Soon you will see it — a map of the living Universal Mind, every Ember a real point of light at its place on the Earth, the whole species glowing in the dark. And when we are many enough, you will question it — put any question to all of humanity, and it will return an answer. A thing you can watch come alive, and a thing you can talk to. That is what one honest answer a day is quietly building.
Perhaps it was always our destiny to arrive here. This connection — the Universal Mind — has been forming since that first day at the river: thread by thread, across all the years, every story we believed together and every unseen thing we agreed was real, woven into one slowly growing whole that none of us could yet reach in and touch. It was never ours to invent, only ever ours to reach. And here is what makes it the deeper of the two watersheds: the first was a chance — blind luck that happened to us — while this is the opposite kind of event, the first thing of its scale that humanity builds on purpose, eyes open, because it decides to. No mutation is coming to do it for us; it exists only if we choose it, and choose it again tomorrow, and the day after. And being part of it is more than a duty — it is your birthright. You are already part of the whole; you always were — a wave that rises from the ocean, is itself for one bright moment, then returns to it. The first leap was fate; this one is a choice, and the choice is yours. Every answer is a vote for it to exist at all.
And here’s the kindest part: it asks almost nothing of you. One honest question. Two minutes. One brick laid, then back to your life. You come back tomorrow, and the day after, because each morning holds a new question and the whole world’s answer waiting for you — and because what we lay, brick by brick, is ours. You don’t power Emberence from the outside; you are Emberence — one of the millions it is made of. A living picture of humanity can only ever be painted by humanity, a little each day; and the warmth you add is warmth you stand in too.
We’ll always be honest with you about the numbers — a thing built on honesty can’t begin by lying about itself. A perfect, fully-surfaced picture would take every last one of us, and that’s impossible; we won’t pretend otherwise. We don’t even need billions — that would be the dream, the end goal at the top of the climb just belowthe end goal at the top of the climb, and if we ever reach it, all the better. What it truly takes is far more reachable: a few thousand honest voices already read the world sharply, the way polling always has — and the more of us who join, the truer and harder to deny the picture grows. Reach the majority, and it becomes something no one alive can wave away. Every new voice adds a piece of the picture no one else can supply.
So here is the ask, and we mean every word: build it with us. Show up, each day — your one brick is not small; it is the whole thing, multiplied by all of us. And then do the other half: talk about it. Share it. Bring it up. Send it to the group, raise it at the table, put it in front of the next person and the next — because there is no ad budget and no army coming to spread this for us. It moves the only way the first stories ever moved: mind to mind, one person telling another. That isn’t marketing — it’s the very thing Emberence is made of. Passing it on isn’t “try my app.” It’s “help me build something our species has never had — it’s still too faint to see, and it needs your light.”
This instrument is built — but on its own it stays silent. It only finds its voice when enough of us show up to answer; Emberence becomes real only with you, and everyone you bring. So here is exactly where we stand today, and we will never once hide it from you:
Right now we are few, and that is not a weakness — it is the starting line, and you are standing on it early. If the fire feels young when you arrive, that is because it is, and we will never pretend otherwise. It is not finished — it only grows as we keep coming back to it, morning after morning. This is the one instrument that turns its question back on the people building it — can we actually do this, together?
We know we can. Let’s build it.
A token of our appreciation for reading the full story: one free bundle of kindling for your Wheel of Remembrance.
Your answers are always anonymous. We never sell who you are. We only ever show the world its own reflection — never you.
Emberence is the memory of fire. The fire is the Universal Mind, all of us. When you first arrive you are a dim Ember who has forgotten the fire it is part of. By stoking your Ember daily, you make it glow brighter. We call this making a connection to the Universal Mind. Each day, your Ember ignites kindling on your Wheel of Remembrance which, once fully lit, opens the way through, one step closer to the Universal Mind and the fire. Your emberence is a measurable score: how well you are in tune with the Universal Mind on a daily basis.
You are the Ember, a light in the world. Each day you stoke your Ember (answer the daily question) and it glows brighter. Show up daily and your brightness climbs Dim → Glowing → Blazing → Brilliant, drawing you closer to the Universal Mind; stay away and it slowly cools, never out, just resting at Dim, always ready to glow again.
Each day you stoke your Ember by answering the daily question, igniting one bundle of kindling on The Wheel of Remembrance. Once every bundle is lit, the Wheel stands ready, and the next morning's question carries you through, crossing your Ember into the next stage: Dim → Glowing → Blazing → finally Brilliant. Your first crossing from Dim to Glowing is called The Emberence: a one-time set of questions that help you try to remember your connection to the Universal Mind, and seal where your remembering begins.
A fiery tunnel representing the painful but necessary burning away of worldly illusions and individual ego, burning a pathway directly into the collective unconscious, the Universal Mind, which is in you, part of you, and all around you.
Every question humanity has ever asked, and where the world stands on each, the unifying force within global society, always there, waiting for you. Today's daily is one focused question for everyone, all of us, answered blind; the world's picture on it surfaces the next morning.
Every morning. Today's question is answered blind by the whole world; the next morning the Universal Mind reveals where the world stands, one moment, the same for everyone on Earth. Come back each morning to see the answer, and stoke your Ember with the new day's question.
When we are many and glow together, the Universal Mind will open to your questions. When a question spreads fast enough, it will erupt into a Blazing Ember Storm, opened to the whole world at once for maximum exposure. Every answer is a vote, so the questions the world resonates with most will rise on their own. (The daily question is chosen separately, and answered blind.)
Ember Storms are rare, a question can gain momentum and turn into a Storm with the help of others, opening it to the world for one blind, live read. Answer it, guess the split, and see the result instantly, plus how many Embers joined the Storm with you. Only Embers that glow Blazing and beyond can step in. Joining ignites a bundle of kindling, and your read counts double toward your emberence, a gamble: read it well and you soar up the Global Ranking, misread it and it costs you double.
The Universal Mind's settled memory. Once a question settles, its answer will be written in the Halls of The Akashic Records forever. Searchable (Premium subscription) once the Records open to you. Nothing is ever deleted; it just settles, the way an Ember cools.
No, one person, one vote, always. A brighter Ember gives you a bigger voice in what the world is asked, and lets you see more but never more weight on the answer. The picture has to be true, or it's worth nothing.
Telling us who you are is adding your light to the picture, it lets the world see itself in sharper detail. It also brightens your Ember: opening an account, naming yourself and completing your profile each ignite kindling on your Wheel of Remembrance. You can reach full brightness without sharing anything sensitive; that always stays your choice. The more light you bring, the more you can see.
Because knowing how others answered would change yours. Emberence shows you the world only after you've answered.
Before today's reveal you guess what % of the world agrees with you, one slider, then the result. You see how close you were, and over time it builds your emberence: how well you remember your connection to the Universal Mind, with a Global Ranking of the sharpest-reading Embers.
Emberence isn't a feed to get lost in. One honest question, two choices, a reveal, then go live your life. We're the anti-doom-scroll: scrolling earns you nothing here, and that's the point.
A challenge. Your friend answered a question and locked in their read of the world, the link lets you do the same, blind. Answer, guess the split, and see how your two reads compare: whoever read the world closer takes the duel. Then send it back with your own read, and keep the chain alive.
It saves your Ember across every device, so you never lose your journey, and unlocks your Mirror: your history, where you stand, and how you've shifted over time, as well as My Readings, how you read the world realm by realm, and more.
